This is a tentative schedule...check back for changes. We hope to see you often in '09! It's going to be a great year! Some events are for club members only, such as the monthly CLUB TRAIL RIDES. Events designated as "open" are open to the public and are fund raising events. Anyone is welcome!
Feb 28 ELECTRONIC HORSE RACING / Dance & Dinner Beverly Firehall
Bet on your favorite horses and then enjoy a dinner and dance. Just what you need to get through February in WV! Tickets $20 Doors open 4:00pm. Advanced ticket required. See any RCRRC member for tickets. Open event.
March 28 - EQUINE VACCINE : FERRIER : COLT STARTING CLINICS
Tracy Walker, DVM (614-8363) Most equine vaccines including Rabies, Potomac Fever, will only be $5. Health Checks and wormer will also be $5. Coggins will be avail. Ferriers Kevin Wiseman, Ken Hass, Conway Howell, Eric Heckler, and Martin See, Jr. will be providing farrier services and demos. Junior McGlaughlin will start his colt Starting Clinic at 1:30 pm - so bring your babies you want started and you'll have help! Camp Pioneer, Beverly 9:00AM start. Open event.

May 16 - CLUB TRAIL RIDE w/ Ronnie & Sandra Beckwith @ Pickens
June 6th - UNITED WAY BENEFIT TRAIL RIDE & DINNER @ Becky's Creek $15 includes the ride and dinner. This year, the ride will be at the Currence Farm in Huttonsville. All proceeds go directly to United Way. Camping available. 10:00am start for this 4-5 hour ride. Open event. From Elkins, follow Rt. 219 south to Huttonsville. Take a right at the gas station (still on 219south) and go about 2 miles. Take a left onto Becky's Creek and follow the signs (~5 miles) to the ride.
June 20 - NATIONAL BARREL HORSE ASSOCIATION SHOW Camp Pioneer, Beverly 9am start NBHA Sanctioned show will start at 1:00pm (demonstration runs) with the competition starting at 3:00pm. $1000 added payback. Camping and stalls avail. with reservations - call Tracy Walker for more info. 304-636-8363. Open event.
July 16-19 THREE-DAY CLUB RIDE on the GREENBRIER RIVER TRAIL We will start near Marlinton, WV and camp at chosen spots along the way. Volunteers move the campers/trailers from one spot to the next. Meetings will be held in the summer to plan. All participants must be Club members and come to planning meetings.
Aug 8 & 9 3rd Annual RIDE BETWEEN THE RIVERS ENDURANCE RIDES Ellemore, WV Thirty and 50 mile Endurance Rides sanctioned by AERC and OAATS.
