This is a tentative schedule...check back for changes. We hope to see you often in '10! It's going to be a great year! Some events are for club members only, such as the monthly CLUB TRAIL RIDES. Events designated as "open" are open to the public and are fund raising events. Anyone is welcome!
Feb 20 ELECTRONIC HORSE RACING Orchard Hall
Bet on your favorite horses and visit with friends. Just what you need to get through February in WV! Tickets $20 Doors open 4:30pm; races start at 6:00pm. Food and legal beverages provided. BYOB. See any RCRRC member for tickets. Open event.
March 27 - EQUINE VACCINE : FARRIER SERVICES: DEMONSTRATIONS
Tracy Walker, DVM (614-8363) All equine vaccines will be available, some at reduced cost. Health Checks and wormer will only be $5. Coggins, Equine Event Passports and Health Certificates will be available. Farriers Kevin Wiseman, Ken Hass, Conway Howell, Eric Heckler, and Martin See, Jr. will be providing farrier services and demos. Demonstration of equine skills will be held throughout the day. Camp Pioneer, Beverly 9:00AM start. Open event.
April 1 - first day of BUNS OF STEEL $10/participant
April 25 - CLUB TRAIL RIDE w/Jimmy Jeffries riding to Teter Creek Lake 10:30am start Call 636-3669 for directions and ride details
May 16 CLUB TRAIL RIDE w/ Barry Gardner & Jerry Currence @ Judy Springs 10:00am start. Camping available if you arrive early enough on friday at the Johnny's Meadow campsite. We'll start at the Swallow Rock trailhead and ride into Judy Springs and on to the plane wreck. May be >5 hrs. Bring food.
June 25th - 27th WEST FORK TRAIL CLUB OVERNIGHT Day 1 ride Cass to Durbin. Day 2 ride Durbin to Glady. Day 3 ride Glady to Bowden. More details will be available closer to the date. Host: Barry Gardner lewis.b.gardner@wv.gov
July 25 CLUB TRAIL RIDE @ Ellemore along the same trails we'll use for the endurance ride. Start time 10:00am
Aug 7 & 8 4th Annual RIDE BETWEEN THE RIVERS ENDURANCE RIDES Ellemore, WV Thirty and 50 mile Endurance Rides sanctioned by AERC and OAATS. Aug. 15 - CYSTIC FIBROSIS BENEFIT RIDE hosted by Jackie Bailey in Buckhannon, WV Start time 10:00am
August 28th - Annual Club FUN SHOW @ Camp Pioneer in Beverly. Start time tba. Prizes & dinner. Bring a covered side-dish or dessert and plan to spend the night!
September 11 & 12 - White's CLUB TRAIL RIDE w/ Frank, Amy & Rena White @ Nebo, WV. Saturday will be a Scavenger Hunt ride and Sunday will be a Poker Run. Start time and more details will be available closer to the date.
Oct 17 - CLUB TRAIL RIDE to Baker's Sods We'll access the sods via John's Run and return via Rattlesnake Run. Start time 10:00am. Camping both nights available on lower cheat.
Nov 1 - last day Buns of Steel
